Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance

Booked or thinking of taking more than one trip in the year ahead, once it’s safe to go? Cover them all now with Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance from an award-winning provider. Trip extensions available.

For any new policy you buy or new trip booked covered by an existing annual multi-trip policy on or after 12 March 2020, we’ll still cover any medical claims due to coronavirus if you’re travelling to an area where there’s no Foreign and Commonwealth office (FCO) or Government advice against travel.

We won’t cover any other claim, under any section of the policy, relating to coronavirus including any cancellation claim.

Travel in confidence with Post Office.

Government guidance on travel within the UK and FCO advice on international travel may change at short notice. So it's important to check the latest advice regularly. But don’t worry. You can still get travel insurance from an award-winning provider in place today, ready for when it’s safe to visit your destination.

Then, if you fall ill while you’re overseas – even with coronavirus – we’ll cover the cost of emergency medical treatment and transport home if you need it. And, if the reason’s not coronavirus related, we’ve still got you covered for missed or delayed flights, lost or stolen luggage and passports, and even cancellation in some cases.

Like other insurers, we don’t provide any other cover for coronavirus. That includes if you have to cancel a trip because you or a close relative falls ill with or passes away from the virus.

Remember, your cover won’t count if you travel against official Government and FCO advice. So be sure before you go. Get the latest FCO advice on international travel here. Check the Government’s UK travel guidelines here. And find out what’s covered on our support page

Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance FAQs

Do you offer coronavirus Travel Insurance?

You can buy Post Office Travel Insurance today to cover single or multiple trips you’re planning in the UK and overseas once the FCO confirms it’s safe to go. Follow its official guidance and you’ll be covered for emergency medical expenses and costs to return you back home if you fall ill on your trip – even if it’s with coronavirus. Like most other providers, Post Office Travel Insurance provides no other cover, under any section, for claims arising from or related to coronavirus or any related/mutated form. This includes cancellation of your trip due to the virus. And remember, your cover won’t be valid if you travel to somewhere against any FCO or Government advice not to travel or preventing travel, or if there is any change in regulation brought about by COVID-19. So check the latest FCO advice here and the Government’s UK travel guidelines here. You can find out more about what’s covered, what isn’t and get answers to common questions on our support page.

I’m staying in the UK, is my trip covered by Travel Insurance?

Post Office Travel Insurance provides cover whether you’re taking a holiday overseas or a ‘staycation’ here in the UK. So, if you’ve booked, switched to or are considering a break in Britain when the Government says it’s safe to go, you can get cover in place for it now. That way you’re protected should your luggage or personal belongings be lost, stolen or damaged while you’re away. Or if you have to cancel or cut short the trip due to reasons other than coronavirus set out in the policy.

What is Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance?

This is a type of policy that covers you for multiple trips within one year. Depending on your level of cover, there will be a limit on the total amount of time you can spend away as well as how long each individual trip you take can be. Please check the policy wording for full details.

This is good for people who travel frequently and don’t want the expense of buying a new policy for each journey they take. Remember that if you travel to different parts of the world with each trip, you will need a policy that covers all of the areas you travel to.

What different cover levels are there for Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance?

We can offer you a choice of insurance at three different levels. Economy, Standard and Premier. We also offer Lite, Prime and Elite which are designed to allow us to offer cover to more customers with existing medical conditions.

If you decide on a Premier policy you will be able to enjoy complimentary airport lounge access if your flight is delayed for two or more hours. >
