Cruise cover is mandatory if you’re going on one. But it’s important as it covers you for a raft of things that could go wrong - from missing your departure point due to a breakdown to falling ill on board; being confined to your cabin to losing your baggage. >>

Golf Cover

If you’ve gone on holiday specifically to play golf, then one of the worst things that could happen is the loss of your clubs. We make sure you’ve got cover for unpleasant eventualities, such as losing clubs, refunds for course closures and more (subject to terms and conditions).

Single Trip Travel Insurance FAQs

Still have questions about travel insurance?

Make sure you have right cover

EHIC

EHIC is good, but not good enough

You may have heard about the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). It will give you some state-provided medical healthcare for less than you'd otherwise pay if you're travelling in Europe. But travel insurance will provide cover for much more, like cancellation, your luggage, and medical repatriation to the UK. Why not check out our policy for more details?

Credit card

Have cover with your bank or credit card?

You may think you have cover already. Perhaps because your bank or credit card includes it as a perk. But have a quick look at the policy to see if it gives you the cover you need. Always make sure you read the terms and conditions of any policy so that it is suitable to you and the trip you are taking. Also that you're not paying for something you don't need.

Criteria

Medical conditions

If you have medical conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes it's very important that you declare these to us, including any medication that you're taking, to ensure you have the right cover in place at the time you need it.

Post Office Travel Insurance covers most pre-existing medical conditions. Get a quote today to see if we can cover you. If you have a serious pre-existing medical condition that Post Office Travel Insurance cannot offer cover for, the Money and Pensions Scheme (MaPS) have launched a directory listing companies that may be able to help you. The directory can be accessed by either clicking here or calling 0800 138 7777.
