Golf holiday travel insurance

If it’s par for the course that your clubs are going away with you, make sure they’re protected with optional Golf Cover >. We could cover your clubs, bags and trolley against accidental loss, theft and damage and we’ll even give you hole-in-one cover when you make the 19th hole!

Add optional Golf Cover to your policy to get protection for your golfing equipment and yourself

Our optional Golf Cover can be added for an additional premium. We don’t tend to think of golf as an extreme sport. But that doesn’t mean it’s without its risks. Getting hit by a ball or your ball hitting someone else might have serious and costly implications. Our optional Golf Cover offers personal liability in certain situations.

We also know how important the feel of a club is to a golfer, and how frustrating it would be if these were to go missing or get stolen. So we'll cover them too, if they are less than 3 years old.

Cover against injury

Golf-courses aren’t risk-free places, from errant balls to tricky terrain. We cover personal injury, whether that’s a bump on the head or a slip and fall.

Losing your clubs can mean the difference between playing a great game and a poor one. We can help with the costs towards the replacement of these items by covering them against theft, accidental loss and damage to your clubs, bags and trolley.

Personal liability protection

Accidents can happen, and if it was one of your balls that caused one then we can offer up to £3m of personal liability.

Hole-in-one cover

Tradition dictates that if you hit a hole-in-one, you buy a round at the clubhouse bar (or the 19th hole). But after such an accomplishment, we think that the first round ought to be on. Depending on the level of cover, this could be up to £100!

Golf Cover FAQs

What is Golf travel insurance?

Golfing trips – whether in the UK or abroad – involve unique risks beyond those of a normal holiday. Golf equipment can be specialist and of higher value than the majority of items you take away with you and so warrant specialist cover. And golf courses present risks that you wouldn’t face in ordinary life, so it’s important to protect yourself against these hazards.

Why add Golf Cover?

For a lot of golfers, finding the right clubs can take a long time and be an important investment. So we know how frustrating it could be to lose them, have them stolen or find that they’ve been damaged. Optional Golf cover can offer cover against this, as well as personal injury and personal liability on the course. And don’t forget our hole-in-one cover!
