Post Office Money

Post Office Money® International Payments is the easy and secure way to send money abroad. Whether you’re sending money to family, have a home overseas that you need to pay for or paying an overseas supplier, you can transfer money to almost anywhere in the world.

A variety of payment options

Arrange an international transfer via your online account using your desktop, mobile or tablet. For transfers over £20,000 you can also speak to our dedicated customer service team. Payments can be made using a UK registered credit or debit card or via bank transfer.

You can set regular payments so that they take place weekly, monthly or any period that suits you. Call 0800 180 4809 and our specialist team will set this up for you.

A secure service

International Payments are provided by Moneycorp. TTT Moneycorp Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for the provision of payment services under the Payment Services Regulations 2009, FRN 308919. Post Office International Payments service uses Symantec SSL security, as used by 97 of the world's 100 largest financial institutions and 75 percent of the 500 biggest e-commerce sites in North America.


What has changed to the service?

  • As of 31st July 2019 the service provided by moneycorp for Post Office International Payments will cease
  • moneycorp continues to operate as a foreign exchange and international payments provider
  • Post Office will offer a new digital payments service for international payments in the near future

How does this affect me/my account?

  • Your Post Office International Payments account will be available until 31st July 2019. Any trades booked prior to 31st July 2019 that are due to complete after will be honoured by moneycorp.

What will happen with my recipients and payment history?

  • The recipient and payment history of your account will be available online until 31st July 2019
  • You can request for your recipients and payment history to be made available after that date by contacting moneycorp

What will happen with any funds on account after 31st July?

  • You can login and pay those funds to a recipient before 31st July
  • You can transfer any funds across to a moneycorp account on request
  • After 31st July your funds will be left on account until you confirm what you would like to do with them.



We like to make this as fair and simple as we can. Our transfers are simple and so is our pricing.

We use live exchange rates to set our pricing so you will notice that the rate constantly moves, this means that you can take advantage of sudden movements and not forced to use the rate we set in the morning. As soon as you see a rate that you are happy with we suggest you make your trade as rates can move against you as well as in your favour.

We also offer a very simple pricing structure, the more you send, the better rate you will receive. You can send any amount from £250 upwards and the higher the value, the better the rate. All of our rates are shown on the website when you look for a quote so we don’t hide anything for from you. The rate you secure is the rate you get. No fees are added on for your transfer.

Call charges

0800: All calls to 0800 numbers are free of charge from a UK landline or mobile phone. Calls may be monitored or recorded for training and compliance purposes.

+44 203: Calls to 0203 numbers from abroad should cost no more than a standard UK landline call and may be included in your call / roaming package (depending on your service provider). Calls may be monitored or recorded for training and compliance purposes.
