Pay Bills & Top Up

In partnership with Payzone, we have around 24,000 locations across the country where customers can pay their energy bills or top-up. Customers can access our bill payment services at their local Post Office branch or at any convenience store that has a Payzone terminal. This service enables customers to easily pay their bills.

What does our bill payments service include

What can I do?

  • Pay your energy, council tax, water, housing, rent, telephone, broadband and other bills, including the major utilities
  • Top up your mobile phone & purchase SIM cards
  • Top up travel cards and pre-purchase tickets for trains, trams & buses
  • Purchase tickets for the Health Lottery and LottoSocial
  • Manage online gaming accounts

Where and when can I do it?

  • Any Post Office
  • Convenience Stores with a Payzone sign
  • Whenever it’s open (this will vary depending on location)
  • This includes evenings and Sundays (where available)

What do I need?

  • To top up pre-paid energy meters, please bring your electricity key and/or gas card
  • For mobile phone top-ups, please bring your top-up card or ask for an e-voucher
  • For any other type of bill payment, please bring your bill or your budget card

How do I use the bill payments service at the Post Office?

Paying a bill at your local Post Office is easy – just bring what you need and tell us how much you would like to pay. We’ll sort everything out and give you a receipt for your payment. You can pay with cash or debit card at the Post Office and we don’t charge for electronic payments (though some banks may charge – check with your bank if you’re not sure). Cheques are accepted at some Post Offices.

How do I use the bill payments service in Payzone stores?

Payzone retailers have a device in their store that enables their customers to complete over 200 bill payment transactions in their shop. Simply find your nearest store using Payzone’s Store Locator. Don’t forget to check the opening hours and which bill payment services it offers, as this can vary. Pop into your local Payzone shop, pay your bill and pick up any groceries you need at the same time.
