- No payment or bank details required from you when you apply
- Post Office Free Parent Life Cover is provided by The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited.
- You can apply for Post Office Free Parent Life Cover if you are aged 18 to 66, you are a UK resident and named on the child's birth certificate, adoption certificate, final residence order or special guardianship order.
- You cannot apply if you have had a positive diagnosis of HIV infection nor, within the last 12 months, received medical treatment for cancer (including leukaemia and lymphoma).
- The policy will not pay out if you commit suicide, or die as the result of attempted suicide, a self-inflicted injury, an HIV-related illness, or your death is linked to being under the influence (temporarily or otherwise) of drugs or alcohol.
- Cover will expire after 12 months.
- You can apply once for each child you have so if you’ve already made a previous application for the same child for Post Office Free Parent Life Cover you cannot reapply.
- Each child must be under 4 years old.
- You will need to answer 3 survey questions on safeguarding your family’s future during the application process to get Post Office Free Parent Life Cover.
