So, what exactly is Cash Kickstarters?
Cash Kickstarters is an initiative by Post Office and non-profit group Unloc. It’s designed to help young people aged 13 to 18 build a better relationship with their money.
Whether it’s saving, budgeting, managing your money or landing your first job, Cash Kickstarters is here to help make money simpler and get you ready for the future.
Cash Kickstarters can help you:
- Gain valuable skills and knowledge to help you feel confident about your money now and in the future
- Develop the attitudes and behaviours you need to become financially independent
- Learn how to make the most of your money, no matter where life takes you
We’re making this happen with free money workshops in schools and colleges across the UK. Led by Unloc’s experts, these sessions are fun, interactive and packed with practical tips to help you take charge of your money. Plus we’re sharing simple guides and money hacks to help too.

The latest sessions were held at Central Foundation Girl’s School in Bow, London and Park Community School in Leigh Park, Havant. Led by Unloc’s money experts Zui Mansata and Tom Lloyd, the sessions were packed with need-to-know advice and hands-on learning.
Here’s what they covered:
- Making money as a young person

- Kickstarting your own business – including tips for creating a business plan and TikTok content
By the end of the session, students felt inspired, full of new ideas and ready to take on their financial future.
