Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of registering my account online?

You’ll be able to top-up your Drop & Go card and view your account history online 24/7.

What details do I need to register my existing Drop & Go account online?

You will need your Drop & Go card number (the 8-digit number on the front of your Drop & Go card) and the postcode registered to your account.

What is a Post Office My Account and why do I have to sign up for one to access my Drop & Go account online?

A Post Office My Account will mean you can access all your Post Office products and services in one place - a bit like an online banking portal. Drop & Go is one of our first products on the Post Office My Account. It only takes a couple of minutes to register and once you have one, you can log-in very simply with your username and password. Please make sure you remember those details.

I have a number of Drop & Go cards, how can I link them all to one account?

Right now, it's not possible to link more than one Drop & Go card to each Post Office account. So, if you do have multiple Drop & Go accounts, you’ll have to register them under separate Post Office My Acccounts. Or simply link the card you use most often, and if any of the remaining cards have a balance on them, ask the branch to close those cards for you. We'll then arrange a refund for any remaining credit. We'll let you know when you're able to use more than one Drop & Go card with your account.

I dropped off items earlier, they've not appeared online yet?

Branch payments will appear online in real time once the branch has processed your items – so check again later in the day and they should appear.

I've got a transaction correction on my account – what does this mean?

In the unlikely event that an error is made when deducting funds from your Drop & Go account - we will correct it, usually within 24 hours. These can be credits or debits and will show in your account as a transaction correction. Any promotional credits that we choose to run will also be labelled ‘Credit transaction correction’.
