How Paper Passport Assist Works

With our Paper Passport Assist service, we’ll help you get your application sent off smoothly. For just £11 plus your passport fee, we’ll accept and send your Irish passport application for you.

    Call the dedicated helpline on 00353 1 613 1795 where you will have a bespoke application form created for you

    Once you've received your form, visit one of our participating Post Office branches

    Submit your application

    Hand in your form, photos and any other supporting documents in branch. We’ll send it off to the DFA Passport Office

    If approved, your new passport will be sent directly to your home address by post

What you need:

  • Your bespoke form as well as any supporting documentation requested by the DFA

  • Proof of any changes, such as to your name (see 'common questions' for more details)

  • A witness to sign your application and photos

When will you need a witness?

First time passport applications must be witnessed before they can be processed.

This person may be contacted to confirm the validity of their signature. Please check they’re happy to be contacted before you start the application. Read further guidance on application witnesses.

Tips for filling out your application form

Getting it right first time

  • Use a black ballpoint pen and write in capitals
  • Bring originals of your supporting documents and not photocopies. Also, don't forget your four photos (two of them signed)
  • Stay within the white boxes and keep your signature within the border

      Common Paper Passport Assist questions

      • The Paper Passport Assist service cost £11.00 with Post Office. This fee is on top of what you have to pay the DFA for your passport and includes a delivery fee to send your documents to the DFA.
