Common questions about DPD services

Picking up items

  • If the online retailer you’re buying from offers this service, you can select a Post Office branch as a delivery location during checkout. Only participating Post Office branches offer this service.

  • You'll have been sent this information via email by DPD or contact the sender for your parcel number. If you received a missed delivery card, you will be sent an email or SMS which will contain a pick-up pass and the parcel number.

  • DPD will tell you when your parcel has arrived via email and SMS. You'll also get a DPD app notification if you've signed up for this service. Please wait until you receive this confirmation before attempting collection.

  • You'll need to bring your DPD pick-up pass, which contains the pick-up code and will be sent to you via email or SMS once your order is ready for collection. It'll tell you if any additional photo ID (passport or driving license only) is needed.

  • If you don't have your DPD pick-up pass, you can still collect your parcel if you present a photo ID plus an additional form of identity verification, either a utility bill or bank card.

  • If you have a DPD pick-up pass that doesn't require any additional ID, show it at the counter and collect the item. If you don't have a DPD pick-up pass or you're required to present your ID, your surname must be the same as the recipient, and you'll need to show your photo ID.

  • You have 7 days from the day it's delivered to your chosen Post Office branch. If you don't collect the item, it'll be returned to the sender by DPD.

  • If your parcel looks damaged upon collection, you can refuse to accept it. It'll be returned to the sender by DPD.

Dropping off items

  • You can print labels for DPD services in selected branches. If you're dropping your parcel off at a Post Office branch that doesn't offer this, please print your label before coming in branch.

  • We offer DPD services in participating Post Office branches. Please check which branches nearest to you offer these services when selecting a drop off or collection location with an online retailer, or when buying postage online.

  • Please contact the retailer you purchased from if a return goes missing or contact DPD if you've sent an item through their service.
