Common questions about Amazon services

Picking up items

  • If the item you're buying from Amazon is eligible for this service, you can select a Post Office branch as a delivery location during checkout.

  • You'll receive a QR code and instructions in an email from Amazon when your parcel arrives in branch. You'll need your collection QR code to pick up your package. You won’t need any extra ID.

  • You have 7 days from the day it's delivered to your chosen Post Office branch. If you don't collect the item, it'll be returned to the sender by Amazon.

  • This service means your parcel is being delivered by Royal Mail, not Amazon Logistics.

  • If your parcel hasn't arrived, go into your Amazon customer account, 'My Account' and access customer services. You can then select the item you need help with.

Amazon label-free and box-free returns

  • On Amazon.co.uk, start a return in ‘Your Orders’ and choose to use a prepaid QR code at a Post Office branch. You’ll receive an email containing the QR code, which will also be available in your Amazon app. Take the QR code to a Post Office branch and we’ll pack, label and ship your return.

  • No, you don’t need to pack your item when using this service. Bring it into branch, and we’ll pack it for you.

  • When you complete your return in branch, it’ll trigger an email receipt and start the refund process. It often takes up to ten days for a refund to arrive in your bank account. If you don’t receive an email confirmation or a refund, please contact Amazon via ‘Your Account’ on Amazon.co.uk.

  • You can find more information about this service on Amazon’s help page.
