Service updates
You’re still able to use all Post Office card account (POca) services in our branches as normal. A small number of branches have amended their hours or may be closed, but we want to reassure you this only affects less than 10% of our entire network.
Before leaving home, you can use our branch finder to quickly check on the status of your local branch. To do so, click on the words "branch finder" above. On the new page, you can enter your postcode and then you will get a list of branches nearest to you. This will also inform you of closures, amended hours and services available.
You are still able to use all the POca services you’re used to in our branches.
Converting your POca account
Post Office is working with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to encourage POca customers to use another type of account to receive their pension, benefits and tax credits payments. You are likely to have already received a letter asking for your bank account details and giving information of where to get advice on opening one if needed.
The DWP provides a dedicated helpline for you to speak to someone about switching your payments from POca to another account. You can call free on 0800 085 7133 (textphone 0800 085 7133).
Many customers who’ve already switched to a bank account are still visiting their Post Office branch to withdraw their money. You can find out more about everyday banking by visiting: postoffice.co.uk/everydaybanking
