Common gift card questions

  • You can spend your One4all Gift Card 24 hours after it has been purchased. The One4all Gift Card can be used in thousands of outlets nationwide. You can go directly to the store of your choice and present the card at the till. You can get a full list of participating retailers online or pick up a directory free of charge. Please note you must know your balance when presenting the card for payment.

  • If you have tried to make a payment and received an error this likely means your bank has refused the transaction request. Sometimes you can tell why it was declined by reading the response code, but only your bank can confirm the specific reason. The most common reasons for declines are incorrect credit card number or expiration date, insufficient funds, the bank declined based on location, the bank’s fraud rules blocked the transaction, or using autofill or scan card option when entering in payment details. Please retry and manually type in the card details.

  • To report a lost or stolen card, call the One4All gift card team immediately on 0370 085 4141. Please note you must have your card number in order to block further use. A re-issue fee of £5 will apply.

  • Your account is required to ensure that digital gift cards you have purchased cannot become lost if they are not claimed or your recipient loses their claim email.

  • When your recipient claims the digital gift card they add it to their account where they can see all their One4all gift cards, balance and details needed to spend in store or online.

  • No, it’s not possible to top up One4all Gift Cards after being topped up once.

  • One4all gift cards do not have an expiry date and will remain valid for as long as there is a balance on the one4all gift card. There will be a charge of £0.90 applied to the card on the 19th month after the card sale date and each month thereafter until the card balance reaches zero.

  • If you’re in-store, simply tell the cashier how much is on your One4all gift card and they will swipe for this amount. You can then pay the rest via cash or card. 

    If you’re shopping online, unfortunately itis not currently possible to part-pay by gift card and another payment method, as most websites do not accept multiple payment methods.

  • There may be a few reasons why your gift card was refused. The balance on your gift card may be less than you thought, or less than the retailer attempted to deduct from your card, or there may have been an issue with the retailer’s card processing terminal. To confirm your balance please contact the balance information line on 0370 854 4141. If the balance on your card is correct and was sufficient to cover the transaction attempted then please contact our customer service team on 0370 854 4141 to investigate further.

  • There could be several reasons why this happened. Please check:

    • That you are swiping the gift card on the chip and pin terminal rather than the retailer entering it as a voucher
    • That you know your balance, and it is more than or equal to the amount you’re trying to spend
    • The One4all gift card hasn’t expired (check the Valid Thru date on the front of the card)
    • The retailer’s card terminal isn't working correctly
  • Only selected stores accept the One4all gift card online. Additionally, One4all gift cards must be used as a prepaid Visa debit card with these retailers, rather than as a "store gift card".

  • All retailers should be fully knowledgeable about how to process the One4all gift card, however if they’re not sure, simply tell them to swipe the card like a typical Visa debit card. Make sure you know your card’s balance, as the retailer won’t be able to check this for you.

  • Normal retailer refund policy applies and the store will normally refund you with their own vouchers/card. Retailers cannot apply a refund to a One4all gift card.
