So whether you're simply popping over to watch the football, fancy a weekend shopping trip to Paris, or are taking a two week family holiday, if you're going away more than once in a year it's worth considering Multi-Trip Travel Insurance.

With our Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance you can go away for up to 17 days for each trip on our Super Economy, Economy and Standard policies, and up to 31 days for each trip on our Premier and Premium Plus policies. This limit can be extended to up to 60 days for each trip subject to the appropriate additional premium being paid. You can go away as many times as you like subject to an overall maximum of 183 days away in the policy year. **

Our recommendation to anyone travelling away is to make sure you have adequate travel insurance. It's only a small cost to pay for something that could save you a small fortune if you are unlucky enough to have an accident or unexpectedly fall ill abroad.

If you have a European Health Insurance Cardopens in new window (EHIC) some state-provided medical healthcare may cost less than you'd otherwise pay when you're travelling in Europe. But travel insurance will normally cover more of the cost for you.

Winter Sports, Golf, Cruise & Business cover too

If you are looking forward to a ski, golf or cruise holiday, we offer additional specialist cover for an additional premium.

  • Winter Sports cover for skiing, ski run walking, snow boarding and skiing & snow boarding off piste within resort boundaries. This also includes extra protection for injury and damaged or stolen ski equipment and piste closure. Please note that Winter Sports cover provides up to 17 days cover regardless of the actual trip duration.
  • Cruise cover for missed port, cruise interruption and evening dress hire cover. Our Premier policy offers, £1,000 of Missed Departure and Cruise Interruption cover and £100 of cover for Evening Dress Hire. Whilst our Premier Plus policy offers, £1,500 of Missed Departure and Cruise Interruption cover and £150 of cover for Evening Dress Hire.
  • Golf cover for golf equipment, that's under three years old, of up to £1,000. Cover for non-refundable golfing fees should you be unable to play due to sickness, accident or adverse weather and even hole-in-one cover. This cover option is available on Standard, Premier and Premier Plus policies only. Proof of ownership is required for any golf equipment claim.
  • Business cover to cover accidental loss, theft or damage to business equipment and computer equipment up to £1000. In addition, the policy covers up to £1,000 for replacement employees.

To be eligible for this insurance you must reside in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and not spent more than 6 months abroad in the year prior to purchasing the policy, and you must be registered with a GP in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

Definitions

^ When abroad, Super Economy and Economy policies offer up to £2,000,000 medical cover, Standard policies offer up to £5,000,000 and Premier and Premier Plus policies offer up to £10,000,000.

^^ You need to register your flight online at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure time. Your free lounge access will become available on the announcement of a minimum two-hour delay, not two consecutive 60-minute delays, and your flight departs from an airport terminal with a lounge that's part of the LoungeKey network.

* Children under 18 are covered free when travelling under a family policy. Policy terms, conditions, exclusions and limitations apply. Family policies are available for a person and their husband, wife, civil partner or Common Law Partner (who is residing with them), and their dependent, adopted or fostered children or grandchildren who are aged under 18 and are either in full-time education or living with them. The children are insured to travel on their own, subject to being accompanied by a responsible adult. 

** Super Economy, Economy and Standard cover trip limit is 17 days and can be extended to 31, 45 or 60 days subject to the appropriate additional premium being paid. Premier and Premier Plus cover trip limit is 31 days and can be extended to 45 or 60 days subject to the appropriate additional premium being paid. You can take as many trips as you like as long as you are not away for more than 183 days in the policy year.
