Bill Payments

Whether you're paying your utility bills, adding credit to your mobile or topping up your gas or electricity – you can do it all at the Post Office.

Why pay bills at the Post Office?

  • Pay in one go – with cash, card, cheque or Postal Order
  • Save time topping up – top up your mobile, gas card and electricity key in one place
  • Pay at a time to suit you – with paystations at every Post Office branch you may even be able to pay out of hours in branches where the paystation isn’t behind the counter

How to pay

We make it easy to pay all sorts of bills – whether it’s your utilities, phone, council bills, insurance or income tax. Here's how you do it:

  1. Pop in with your bill. Just take your mobile E Top-Up card, gas card or electricity key to your local branch.
  2. Head to the counter and tell us how much you want to pay.
  3. That’s it – we’ll sort everything out and give you a receipt for your payment.

Post Office doesn’t charge for electronic payments (though some banks may charge – check with your bank if you’re not sure) but there might be a fee for some manual bill payments.

If there’s going to be a fee, don’t worry – we’ll let you know before you make your payment.
