The Travel Money Card Plus is used in a similar way to your credit or debit card in that you can use it in shops, bars and restaurants to pay your bill or you can withdraw money from any of the 1.5 million ATMs that accept MasterCard.

Before you apply
You can apply online or pop into one of over 11,000 branches that offer the Travel Money Card Plus. You’ll need to be 18 years old or over and the card must be for you only. You’ll also need a UK driving licence or valid passport when you apply.
We offer eight currencies, including euros, US dollars and sterling – you’ll need to decide which one you want, along with how much you’d like to load on your card.
When you apply in branch the maximum you can load on your card is £750. Depending on the branch and currency you buy, you may be given the card at the time of purchase or it will be sent to your home address.
If you’re applying online you can load as little as £50 and as much as £5,000 on your card. Once you’ve submitted your application, your card will arrive within six to eight working days and you’ll be able to start using it right away. After that simply sign into your online account to manage your money whenever you want.

- Report you card lost or stolen and arrange a replacement to be sent to you
- Top up your card (exchange rates will vary from the online rate)
- Arrange for a refund of any left over money. Buyback rates will apply or money can be left on for future trips.
