The Swiss franc is the official currency of Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the tiny Campione d’Italia. It is divided into 100 centimes.
Swiss franc banknotes come in 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 1,000 denominations. Centime coins are 5, 10, 20, 50 (or ‘half-franc’), and franc coins are 1, 2 and 5.
Swiss francs are used in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Campione d’Italia. It has a relatively stable value on the stock exchange and is therefore commonly traded.

Or if you order by 3pm and choose home delivery instead, we can send your travel money to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, which aims to deliver the next working day. Orders over £500 have free delivery on working days. Orders of £100 to £499 cost £5.99 to deliver.
Paying with card is common in Switzerland, so you could take a Travel Money Card. It is a prepaid Mastercard® which you can load up with 22 different currencies, including Swiss francs. You can use it as you would your normal card, including with Apple Pay and Google Pay, for contactless payment, chip & PIN and cash withdrawals.
The highest Swiss franc banknote is CHF1,000, while the lowest denomination is 5 centimes.
