You can send money to any Western Union location for cash pickup or directly to your recipient’s bank account or mobile phone. Once you've chosen the destination country, you'll see the types of services available.
If you're sending money for someone to pick up in cash, it can be ready in as little as 15 to 30 minutes, later the same day or the next day. It depends on where it's going, the amount and when the pickup location is open.
If you're sending to a bank account, it usually takes up to two working days, depending on the receiving country. Delivery times shown on the ‘send money’ page are estimates of the time to deliver the money once funds are received. They don’t include the payment processing time. And they vary by destination, payment method and the payout method used.
You can pay with your debit card, credit card or a bank account using Faster Payments. Supported cards include Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Visa Electron. For international money transfers made in branch, you can also pay with cash.
Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode are tools that help keep your card safe when you shop online. If you buy something with it from certain websites, a box might pop up asking for a password. This helps make sure it’s really you using the card. If you haven’t activated these tools yet, you can still use your card on our site, but it’s even safer if you do.
