Verifying your identity and income

We’ve started processing your Post Office Savings application. Now we just need a few more details.

If we’ve asked for proof of your identity, your permanent address and/or your income, here’s what to do:

  • Complete and follow the instructions within your letter.
  • Drop into a Post Office branch along with your letter, where your documents can be certified free of charge - use our Branch Finder to locate your nearest branch (selected branches only). The branch can also post the documents for you once they have been certified. Note that only proof of ID and proof of address must be certified before sending into us. Income documents do not require certification.
  • Alternatively, once your documents have been certified, send them to us along with the form in the Freepost envelope provided with your letter.

Please be aware certified photocopies won’t be returned to you.
