Important news for Post Office Broadband & Phone customers

Post Office has sold its Broadband and Phone business to Shell Energy.

We have made the decision to leave the telecoms market and have sold our Post Office Broadband and Home Phone service to Shell Energy Broadband.

 

This transition allows the Post Office to focus on its core business of letters and parcels, everyday banking services, bill payments and travel money, whilst ensuring you continue to receive high-quality broadband and phone services from Shell Energy who already provide home energy and broadband services to over a million customers in Britain.


What Happens Next?

 

Shell Energy will start transferring services over to its broadband and phone network from November 2021 and be completed by early 2022.

 

Shell Energy will contact you by letter or email before you’re due to be moved, and after you’ve been moved with more details.

 

There’ll be no disruption to your service throughout the transfer.

 

If you’re a broadband customer, you won’t need a new router. If you’re a home phone customer, you’ll keep your current landline, phone number, call packages and call features.

If you are looking to buy broadband, we are no longer offering service to new customers; however information on broadband services including Superfast Fibre can be found at the Shell Energy Broadband website.
