Current travel updates
SpanAir - January 2012
Following the recent news that SpanAir has gone into administration, policyholders will not have cover for any claim under any section of the policy.
For customers who are currently abroad and unable to get home, in line with the policy wording we will extend the period of insurance by up to 30 days, at no extra cost.
Abta have advised that those customers with Air Travel Operators’ Licensing (Atol) packages should be able to continue with their holidays as planned.
Abta have also advised that anyone who has booked a package holiday must contact the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or contact the supplier named on their invoice.
If payment was made by credit card, or certain debit cards, customers should be entitled to a refund from their card provider.
If you have been able to make alternative travel arrangements, please contact the call centre on 0800 169 9999 to discuss transferring your Post Office Travel Insurance to the new dates. Please be patient as call waiting times could be longer than usual as a result of high call volumes.
