Annual multi-trip travel insurance
Going to be going away more than once this year? Post Office® Annual multi-trip travel insurance could be more cost-effective for you.
If you or anyone on the policy has a pre-existing medical condition or has had a serious illness then you may not be covered by our Explorer or Long Trip travel insurance policy.
Before you get travel insurance, you and everybody on the policy must answer 6 questions in our health declaration (this link will open in a new window - pdf 123KB). If the answer is yes to any of these 6 questions, you must call the Post Office® Medical Screening line on 0845 602 5275 and quote scheme code PTS2.
They will then ask you some specific questions and tell you if we can still provide cover for you or other travellers on the policy. We may still be able to provide cover for your existing conditions, but it may cost more.
If you are at all unsure, or if your health or someone else’s health on the policy changes after you buy this insurance but before you travel, call the Medical Screening line.
Close relatives or business associates whose health may prevent you taking the trip, are affected in a similar way. We will not pay for any claim you, or any insured person, makes that has anything to do with the medical condition of a relative or associate, if at the time of buying the policy (or booking the trip if this was later) he or she:
- was receiving treatment at hospital (other than where you go to hospital for check-ups for a stable condition, at regular intervals which have been arranged beforehand)
- was waiting for a hospital consultation or treatment (other than where you go to hospital for check-ups for a stable condition, at regular intervals which have been arranged beforehand)
- had been given a terminal prognosis, or been told that their condition is likely to get worse in the next 12 months
