What to do when you claim. If you’re in an accident

 
  • don’t drive away - stop and make sure no harm has been caused
  • take the driver's registration, name, address and number of anyone involved, including witnesses
  • don’t admit blame or liability, or offer to pay for any injury or damage caused
  • sketch the accident scene and show all vehicles and people involved, including witnesses
  • use your camera phone to take pictures of the scene
